Natasha Sherwood, B.S. Public Relations 1996, M.A.M.C 1998, has been appointed to the State Apprenticeship Advisory Council (SAAC) by Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.

Sherwood is currently the Executive Director of Independent Electrical Contractors (IEC) Florida West Coast Chapter in Tampa. IEC offers a wide range of resources including apprenticeship programming, workforce recruiting, manpower sharing and education and training on advancement in the industry.

Sherwood is one of eight SAAC appointees who will provide input to the Florida Department of Education on matters relating to Registered Apprenticeship. Council members represent employee and employer organizations.
