The goal of the magazine is to tell true stories that are unique to Florida. They will focus on a range of topics from the environment to changing demographics to racial justice.

Using both print and visual journalism, the magazine will tell the stories of people whose voices have not always been heard and of communities that have been underserved.

Atrium is named after the large open space in Weimer Hall, the home to UFCJC. It allows the Florida sun to shine in, bringing light into the heart of the building. In the same spirit, the magazine will seek to illuminate the heart of Florida.
