Alisha Katz, B.S. Public Relations 2012, has been selected as one of only six members of the distinguished Society for Healthcare Strategy and Market Development (SHSMD) 2020 Class of Rising Stars. Katz is currently a marketing manager for UF Health Communications.

The SHSMD Rising Star designation recognizes health care strategy professionals under the age of 40 who have demonstrated outstanding promise in their respective fields. Selection is based on a review of core values, such as integrity, inspirational behavior, leadership, and demonstrated commitment to advancing the profession through innovative work.

SHSMD is a professional membership group of the American Hospital Association.
