Four CJC Students Place Second in the 2020 Page Case Study Competition

Four University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications Public Relations students received second place in the 2020 Arthur W. Page Society Case Study Competition. The entry, by Public Relations seniors Leah Antovel, Marina Burke and Tamarra Thal and junior Jania Lowe, was created in CJC Public Relations Professional-in-Residence Pat Ford’s spring 2020 Corporate Reputation class.

The winning entry was for a Johnson & Johnson campaign titled “Upholding Brand Values and Combating Pharmaceutical Mistrust Amidst the Opioid Crisis.” The winning students and their faculty advisors receive cash prizes and are recognized by the nation’s leading corporate communications executives.

The Page Society, in alliance with the Institute for Public Relations, conducts the annual competition for original case studies by students enrolled in a school of business, communication or journalism, and who are pursuing a degree that is focused on corporate communications and the practice of public relations.

The objective of the competition is to introduce the practical applications of the core principles that define public relations as a critical function of management and encourages research that provides practical suggestions on how to improve the corporate public relations function.
