CJC Alumna Wins Lone Star Chapter EMMY Award

Zalome Briceño, B.S. Telecommunication 2018, is the recipient of a National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Lone Star Chapter EMMY Award in the Religion: Program Feature/Segment/Special category for “Las Mañanitas De La Virgen.”

Briceño was a reporter on the eight-person team at Telemundo 60 San Antonio that contributed to the feature story on the celebration of Our Lady of Guadalupe, the patron saint of Mexico.

Briceño, a former student journalist for Noticias WUFT, was part of the first CJC Telemundo University program launched by the Telemundo Station Group. CJC was the first university to work with Telemundo to offer journalists the opportunity to learn from news professional in the industry.
