PSAid hosts a nationwide annual contest for students to create a public service announcement (PSA) for the United States Agency for International Development Office of U.S. Foreign Disaster Assistance Development (USAID). Entries for the “Cash is Best” PSA competition had to demonstrate why cash donations are the best way to support international disaster relief.

Cronin worked on the entry while she was a student in UFCJC Advertising Professor Jon Morris’ Great Ideas class. The class focuses on small projects for real clients including one non-profit per semester.

Nearly 160 college students designed print, video, and infographic public service announcements for the 13th annual competition. Entries were judged by a national panel of experts from the humanitarian and communications fields.
