Dr. Carla Fisher, assistant professor in the UF College of Journalism and Communications Advertising Department and affiliate member of the STEM Translational Communication Center, was honored for her research at the 2016 UF Health Cancer Center Research Day. Her poster presentation, Experiences of “Openness” Between Mothers & Daughters during Breast Cancer: Implications for Coping and Healthy Outcomes, was recognized in the Junior Faculty category under Cancer Population Sciences. Fisher is also an affiliate member of the UF Health Cancer Center.
