Congratulations to UFCJC photojournalism alumni and Gainesville Sun staff photographers Erica Brough (BSJ 2005) and Doug Finger (BSJ 2002), who received first place honors in the photo division of the 2015 Florida Society of News Editors Contest.

Brough won first place for Spot News Photography, and Finger took top honors for both Feature Photography and Photo Story. Rob Witzel (BSJ 2003) is the Gainesville Sun Photo Director.

The Florida Society of News Editors is dedicated to advancing the cause of responsible journalism in Florida. The Gainesville Sun staff competed in the Division B category against other newspapers with daily circulation of less than 50,000 copies.
