FSPA presentations posted

I just posted my presentations given at the 2006 FSPA Convention on Friday. They are:

Web Publishing Tips
Video and Audio for the Web

The presentations were prepared using Eric Meyer’s S5, an XHTML/CSS/Javascript-based slide show system. I adapted the College’s version of the UF template to S5. Editing was mostly done in Dreamweaver (Windows) or TextWrangler (Mac).

Fixing movie code for IE

A recent update of Internet Explorer here apparently contained code that provides remediation of issues in the EOLAS patent settlement regarding activating ActiveX controls on Web pages. Don’t ask me to explain that. The important thing is all my QuickTime movies broke in IE.

Last week was audio week

The Lab received a bunch of audio equipment last week that we had on order. We spent a bit of time unpacking, checking, and making sure everything works. Today we used a new microphone in the production of a Newszine story.
