Orange & Blue and Newszine go up

The Fall 2005 online edition of Orange & Blue magazine was published last week.
Also, we launched the new Newszine site, which is now content managed by Textpattern, which I became very enamored with during the site development process. So much about how it works is just intuitive to me.

Committee pages added

I had an idea while sitting in on a meeting the other day that we ought to have a list of committees and members on the College Web site. I built a dynamic solution and added them to the Governance & Administration page yesterday.
The data structure uses two tables. One contains “committee id,” “member id,” [...]

Moving forward with Textpattern

We’ve discovered that we really like using Textpattern to develop a couple of news sites that we have in the works. The first of which should go live next week.

College News overhauled

The revamped College News section is now live. The section is powered by WordPress. Also, College News headlines on the site’s home page are now generated on demand from the RSS feed provided by WordPress using MagpieRSS.

WordPress updated to 2.0

January 3rd, 2006

I’m back from two weeks of vacation now and one of the first (easy) orders of business was to update the WordPress software that runs this and another soon-to-be-released “blog” here to the new 2.0 version that was released over the weekend.
