The Communications Coaching Center

Description

The Communications Coaching Center is a student-run lab that offers students in the College of Journalism and Communications peer coaching and advising.

The lab is located in 1088 Weimer Hall, directly across the atrium from the Knight Division.

Services provided

  1. Newswriting Coaching: Basic advice and critiques of news stories, focusing on grammar, structure and AP Style. This service is primarily for students enrolled in MMC 2100 and JOU 3101.
  2. Resume and portfolio critiques and advice.
  3. Peer advising: Scheduling and classes, jobs and internships.

The Center is run by the Journalism and Communications Ambassadors, a student organization dedicated to promoting high standards of excellence in the University of Florida's College of Journalism & Communications by giving all students access to opportunities for both academic and professional development.
