  At
first the Harley Davidson motorcycles and pick-up trucks frightened me.
But what struck me next was the diverse music. The DJ played hip-hop,
country, '80s rock, and techno within 15 minutes. I thought biker bars
had to be dark and dingy so I was surprised that the all-wood, really-round
building was nicely decorated and bright. There's a large bar downstairs
with a dance floor and tables to sit around. There's also a smaller bar
upstairs and some pool tables. Another feature of the Round Bar is that
you can find Florida's original redneck there. At least that's what the
long-haired guy with the red bandana, jeans and leather Harley jacket
said he was.

When we arrived,
one of the customers asked us what we wanted to drink. So in an attempt
to blend in, we ordered two raspberry vodka and cranberry juice mixes.
The drinks were pleasantly strong and inexpensive-two traits I look for
in a drink. Munegin's was our favorite bar of the night partially because
of the drink and partially because of the people. The guy sitting next
to us was asleep, and the bartender informed us that he was considered
to be one of the best pool players in Florida. And she woke him up to
prove it. He played a few impressive games and let the bartender win one.
This place is huge. A large
bar with televisions separated from another room with an additional bar,
pool tables, a dance floor and the added bonus of a live band. The nice
thing about Eddie C's is the diversity in the age of the crowd. The live
music was also impressive. The band's groupies danced in front of the stage
and screamed as though the guys were actually the musicians whose music
they were covering. We spent our time at Eddie C's dancing and made friends
with a nice woman in her late 40s who tried to show us some dance moves.
I also danced with an elderly man who taught me some old school dances.
