I’ve been a designer my whole life but never really realized it until a year ago. From sketching dresses and campaign posters to picking fonts that make my term papers look longer, design has ruled my world. The communigator has given me an amazing opportunity to help create a major, purposeful project from scratch with wonderful staff members and mentors. I look forward to seeing the continued evolution of this magazine.

Working at the communigator, I’ve become a member of a large family I previously had no idea existed. It has helped me feel like an individual – a difficult task at a large institution such as the University of Florida. Corresponding with alumni, I’ve felt inspired by the accomplished people who sat in classrooms I attend. Congratulations to everyone for keeping the College of Journalism and Communications a proud and close family.

After getting a degree in film studies from the University of Pittsburgh, I returned to the more independent world of photography, which was my first love. I hope to share lasting stories that show the world how similar people are. I have only just recently begun to work at the communigator, but I’m excited to help turn it into a glossy magazine. I hope you enjoy what you see.
