Sabbatical Blog, Fall 2004
This journal of photographs and notes is to document a few moments of my sabbatical from the Department of Journalism from mid-August to mid-December 2004. I'm using a digital point-and-shoot camera and I've become a bit scruffy without having to go into campus. I try to post a photo every couple of days. If you want to email me, please include "blog" in the subject header. I'm at:  jfreeman@jou.ufl.edu.

DEC15WEDNESDAY
Gazing into the fireplace tonight seems the perfect way to end my sabbatical blog. This is the final entry from the fall 2004 series of digital point-and-shoot photos.

DEC14TUESDAY
Cold weather is setting in, well, we're talking about the 40s at night anyway. Time for snuggling on the couch at home. Wife Robbie and daughter Liddy relax.

DEC9THURSDAY
Matt Levitch sits in a rather bare room as he discusses his master's project with committee members. His work, an outstanding collection of words and pictures, was gathered in Ecuador during summer 2004. For two months, Matt documented Big Oil's impact upon the people and land.

DEC4SATURDAY
The Southeast Historic District in Gainesville held an open house walking tour tonight to showcase eight older homes, including two that have been made into Bed and Breakfasts. This is the Magnolia Plantation Inn.
