Undergraduate students in the Department of Journalism can choose to concentrate in online media. Courses in journalism train students in reporting, writing and editing skills, media law, and ethics. All students in the journalism major must complete Writing for Mass Communication (MMC 2100) and Reporting (JOU 3101). Online media students also take Fact Finding (JOU 3110), Photographic Journalism (JOU 3601), Newspaper Editing (JOU 4201), Law of Mass Communication (MMC 4200) and Problems and Ethics of Journalism (JOU 4700). Students can also take courses in journalism graphics.
