Treise named Associate Dean for graduate studies and research

Debbie Treise(June 2, 2003) -- Professor Debbie Treise has agreed to serve as Associate Dean for graduate studies and research, effective July 1, Dean Terry Hynes announced today. Treise takes over for Marilyn Roberts, who resigned as Associate Dean earlier this year to return to full-time faculty status.

As Associate Dean, Treise will take a leadership role in the recruiting and promotional efforts for the graduate and research programs. Treise will also work collaboratively with Senior Associate Dean Lynda Lee Kaid in strategic planning and in representing the research and graduate programs within the college and university and with external stakeholders.

Both the Senior Associate Dean and the Associate Dean provide leadership in facilitating faculty research according to their areas of expertise. Treise will focus on areas related to health and science communication, advertising, philanthropy, history, and other areas.
