Five faculty promoted; two recommended for tenure
(May 11, 2005) UF President Bernie Machen has approved Sylvia Chan-Olmsted (TEL), Linda Hon (PUR), and Mike Weigold (ADV) for promotion to the rank of professor, Dean Terry Hynes announced today.
Machen also approved Lisa Duke Cornell (ADV) and Cynthia Morton (ADV) for promotion to the rank of associate professor.
The President will recommend tenure for Lisa Duke Cornell and Cynthia Morton at the next meeting of the Board of Trustees at the Board's June meeting.
Promotions will be effective August 16; tenure will be effective July 1.
