UFCJC Journalism Assistant Professor @wagnercelest is the recipient of three National Communications Awards for her doctoral dissertation on media coverage of gender-based violence in Argentina and the United States.
I'm immensely honored & happy to share that my dissertation has also received two @NatComm outstanding dissertation awards: the NCA-wide Gerald R. Miller Outstanding Dissertation Award and the Political Communication Division Lynda Lee Kaid Outstanding Dissertation Award 😭🙏

CJC mourns the passing of journalism professor emeritus, Jon Roosenraad. Jon joined our faculty in 1968 at the age of 23. Next up for our newest faculty members is Ryan Hunt, who will join the Journalism Department as a sports lecturer. Hunt has worked for Sports Illustrated for 25 years and served as its co-editor-in-chief from 2019-23.
