Spiker named 2003 Teacher of the Year

Ted Spiker(April 10, 2003) Professor Ted Spiker was named 2003 College of Journalism and Communications Teacher of the Year at the annual awards banquet.

Dean Terry Hynes recognized Spiker for his “creative, innovative and enthusiastic teaching and for the high standards he demands from students.” Journalism chair William McKeen said Spiker’s “excellence will systematically raise the level of everyone else’s performances. We are in awe of him and what he accomplishes in the classroom. I’ve rarely known a more effective and dedicated teacher.” Spiker will be recognized at a university ceremony April 23.
