Kim joins Advertising faculty

(March 4, 2004) Hyojin Kim has accepted an offer to join the college as an assistant professor in Advertising, beginning with the Spring, 2005 semester, Dean Terry Hynes announced today.

Kim is completing work on the Ph. D. at the University of Texas atAustin. She earned a master's degree in advertising, also from Texas at Austin (2001), and a master's in health from Johns Hopkins University (1997). She earned the bachelor's degree in English from Ewha Woman's University in Korea (1993).

Kim's main research interest area is the effects of interactive communication on processing health information and promoting health behaviors. She will contribute not only to her department's priorities, but also to growth of the college's master's program in science/health communication, Hynes said.
