Cortina joins faculty for the spring

Betty Cortina
Betty Cortina, JM 1992, joined the Department of Journalism this semester as a Hearst Visiting Professional.
Cortina is an alumna of distinction and a UF Outstanding Young Alumna. She has served as editorial director of Latina magazine, news editor at O, The Oprah Magazine and associate editor at People en Espanol.
Cortina teaches Advanced Magazine Writing and Magazine Management and contributes to the Department of Advertising. She’s also working with the College to finalize a proposal for a Hispanic Journalism program.
