Chance wins University Superior Accomplishment Award

(April 23, 2003) Journalism Professor Sandra Chance was honored earlier today as one of six recipients of a 2003 University of Florida Superior Accomplishment Award, Dean Terry Hynes announced today. Chance was the faculty recipient of this award this year. The award is accompanied by a plaque and a check for $1,000.

Last month, Chance and Helga Williams were both recognized as division winners of Superior Accomplishment Awards for their contributions to UF, the College and their departments.

The Superior Accomplishment Awards program recognizes staff members who contribute outstanding and meritorious service, efficiency and/or economy, or to the quality of life provided to students and employees. Division-level award recipients receive cash awards of $200 each, then compete for university-level awards, which offer six $500 and six $1,000 cash awards.
