Tripp Selected for UF Research Foundation Professorship

(April 12, 2004) Prof. Bernell Tripp (Journalism) has been selected to receive a University of Florida Research Foundation Professorship award for 2004-06, Dean Terry Hynes announced today.  Tripp is the college's sixth faculty member to receive this honor (in addition to Debbie Treise, Linda Hon, James Babanikos, Sylvia Chan-Olmsted, and Sandy Dickson). 

This three-year professorship recognizes faculty who have established a distinguished record of research and scholarship that is expected to lead to continuing distinction in their field.  Recipients are awarded a $5,000 salary supplement in each of the three years they hold the title, and they receive a one-time $3,000 allocation in the first year to support their scholarly activities.
