UF student journalists win 22
Mark of Excellence Awards

(March 26, 2002) -- UF student journalists won 22 awards in the Mark of Excellence Awards competition sponsored by the Society of Professional Journalists. WUFT-FM swept the radio feature category and WUFT-TV won six first-place awards including best newscast. The awards will be presented at the SPJ region 3 conference April 19-20 in Atlanta.

The contest covers colleges and universities in the five-state Southeast region, and first-place winners are automatically entered in the national finals. Those awards will be presented in September.
