Spring 2002 class sets graduation record
(May 11, 2002) -- The College of Journalism and Communications graduated a record 405 students after the Spring 2002 semester, Assistant Dean for Student Services Jon Roosenraad announced.
The Division of Graduate Studies and Research graduated 28 students with the degree of Master of Arts in Mass Communication, and three doctoral students with Doctor of Philosophy degrees.
The undergraduates were spread among the majors in the college as follows:
- Advertising, 130
- Journalism, 78
- Public Relations, 109
- Telecommunication, 88.
The college also awarded 52 Mass Communication minors for the term.
The previous record was set following the Spring 2001 semester.
