Chance, Williams win Superior Accomplishment Awards
(February 26, 2003) Journalism Professor Sandra Chance and journalism department senior secretary Helga Williams will be honored as winners of 2002-03 Superior Accomplishment Awards from the university, journalism department chair William McKeen announced today. They will be recognized at a reception at 9 a.m. Thursday, March 6, in the Friends of Music Room in University Auditorium.
The Superior Accomplishment Awards program recognizes staff members who contribute outstanding and meritorious service, efficiency and/or economy, or to the quality of life provided to students and employees. Division-level award recipients receive cash awards of $200 each, then compete for university-level awards, which offer six $500 and six $1,000 cash awards.
