The College's Division of Multimedia Properties is proud to be the home of four radio and two television stations.

WUFT-TV

WUFT signed on the air November 10, 1958 with a mission to provide educational broadcasting to the University of Florida and other schools within the broadcast area. In the late '50s and early '60s programming emphasis at WUFT was on instructional broadcasts. With the later addition of locally produced and public broadcasting service (PBS) programming and programs from other distributors, programming on WUFT began to emphasize British drama, political comedy, film classics, children’s programming, musical specials of all varieties and virtually "something for everyone."

WUFT News, a regular and professional weekday news program, was established by WUFT in 1978. Using the best telecommunication students, the program continues to report on news events of interest to the residents of North Central Florida.

WUFT broadcasts three digital channels: The main channel, 5.1, is the HD channel, 5.2 is an SD channel offering PBS Create and 5.3 is an SD channel offering PBS World and Florida Knowledge Network. Cox Cable in Gainesville carries all three channels. WUFT-TV 5.1 is offered as Cox basic cable channel 3, WUFT-TV 5.2 is offered as Cox digital cable channel 113 and WUFT-TV 5.3 is offered as Cox Digital Channel 114.
