The University of Florida offers graduate study leading to master’s and doctoral degrees in mass communication. The College of Journalism and Communications is widely recognized as one of the nation’s finest.

The graduate programs in mass communication received the top average rating in the nation in the most recent survey conducted and published by U.S. News and World Report. Every national ranking of journalism and communication programs since 1983 has placed the University of Florida in the Top 10 in the nation.

The doctorate program is also among the nation’s most prestigious, with an excellent placement record. Florida students have consistently won top research paper awards at conferences such as the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication. Fellowships and assistantships are available to graduate students including the prestigious University of Florida Alumni Fellowships which provide fee waivers and $20,000 annual stipends.
