Fall District Workshops: What are They?

Florida Scholastic Press Association serves advisers and students throughout the entire state of Florida. Districts have been created within the state of Florida to make it easier for schools, advisers, and students within a region to get together for workshops.

FSPA sponsors local district workshops in the fall. Workshop activities include guest speakers, hands-on sessions, student representative elections, district director elections, advisers' business meetings and various student contests.

FSPA encourages each staff to attend the Fall workshop. Although FSPA Bylaws have changed and staffs are no longer required to attend a workshop to be eligible to attend the state convention in the Spring, this event is a definite boost to publications and offers invaluable networking opportunities. The rates to attend Spring convention are less for those who registered as having attended a Fall workshop.

District workshop registration material will be available on this Web site by early September. You may also contact your district director or the FSPA office with any questions.
