Your 2008 FSPA Board of Directors EXECUTIVE

The
College of Journalism and Communications
at the University of Florida is the
sponsoring institution for FSPA, housing
the FSPA office and providing a portion of faculty
member's time to serve as executive director.

The membership vote
on a president and vice president at the convention business
meeting. These officers serve two-year terms. The past president
then serves a two-year term on the board.

DISTRICT
DIRECTORS
The seven district
directors serve two-year terms, with
elections on odd-numbered years for odd-numbered districts and
even-numbered years for even-numbered districts. Elections are
held during the advisers' business meetings at the fall district
workshops. Any FSPA-member adviser may serve as district director.

At the spring
convention, two of the seven student representatives are selected
to serve as student chair and vice-chair for the following school
year.

REPRESENTATIVES
The seven
student representatives serve one-year terms, and are elected
at the fall district workshops and hold office through the next
fall's workshop. To be eligible for candidacy, a student must be
a junior and on an FSPA-member publication.
