The instructions for shooting a video sequence that used to be on this page have been removed because of an individual claiming copyright infringement. You can read more about video sequences here.

The U.S. Copyright Office says: "Copyright law does not protect ideas, methods, or systems. Copyright protection is therefore not available for ideas or procedures for doing, making, or building things ...

"Section 102 of the Copyright Act (title 17 of the U.S. Code) clearly expresses this principle: 'In no case does copyright protection for an original work of authorship extend to any idea, procedure, process, system, method of operation, concept, principle, or discovery, regardless of the form in which it is described, explained, illustrated, or embodied in such work.'

"... Copyright in such a case protects the particular literary or pictorial expression chosen by the author. But it gives the copyright owner no exclusive rights in the idea, method, or system involved."

I took a four-day course with the individual in question in 2007. The course was about video shooting and editing. The claim of the individual was that my 1,200-word web page infringed on what was taught in that course. Since I have no time or money to wage a legal battle based on the above interpretation of U.S. copyright law, I have simply removed the text and images that used to be here. I am sorry for any inconvenience it might cause.
