Teaching Philosophy: Presenting examples of real life applications to nuture students' interest and motivation to learn about the topic both short and long term. Helping students tailor material to their own interests and needs.

Research area

Research interests: Experimental research with information processing: structural features, new and traditional media and gender and social class differences in processing media messages. Content analysis of mostly news narratives.

Dr. Kamhawi has published studies in Journalism & Mass Communication Quarterly, Communication Research, Human Communication Research and Journal of Broadcasting & Electronic Media.
