Public relations theory and research, public opinion, media effects, communication technology.

Biography

Dr. Mitrook’s professional experience includes having served as public affairs director for WMUA 91.1 FM, as a media relations specialist for the federal government with the Electronic Systems Division, Hanscom AFB., as an integrated communications specialist for BASF Information Systems, and as a media research project director for J.R. Smith & Associates. He has provided public relations services in media relations and public relations campaign design, implementation and evaluation, and is the founder of Orlando Research Associates, a communication consulting group.

Dr. Mitrook’s teaching areas include communication technologies, experimental design, principles of public relations, public relations research, public relations writing, and public relations campaigns. His is a member of the graduate faculty.
