Panels Symposium on Converged Journalism
University of Florida - Reitz Union Auditorium/Cinema College of Journalism and Communications
Friday, 07 February 2003 Start: 8.30 a.m. End: 5 p.m.

The format for this symposium is:

  • Five panels
  • Three guests on each panel
  • A moderator for each panel
  • Panels are open to questions from the audience
  • Each panel lasts one hour

Anyone may join us for any one panel -- or for all five panels. Most of our guests will attend all the panels; they will be encouraged to participate throughout the day. This open format is designed to make it easy for students, faculty and media professionals to come and go as their schedule allows.

Sound Recording
The entire symposium will be recorded on DAT and later transcribed. The transcription will be posted to this Web site as soon as it has been edited and formatted. There will not be a live Webcast.

Lunch
A buffet lunch will be provided for all panelists, moderators and some of our visitors. Seats are limited (26 total). Speak to Mindy McAdams or Kaye Trammell on Feb. 7 at the symposium if you would like to join us, and we'll check whether there are any open seats.
