2006–Present Marketing Director / Assistant to the President
Fort Valley, GA Manages the public relations and marketing division at Fort Valley State University. Reports directly to the president and is a member of the Administrative Council. Shapes the institution’s image and market position internally and externally using all forms of media. As a result, FVSU's student enrollment has more than doubled.

2003 – Present Project Director, LOOKING FOR ANGOLA
Sarasota, FL Directing a multi-disciplinary project to preserve the history of an 1800’s Black Seminole settlement located near Tampa Bay, called Angola. The project includes, but is not limited to tertiary and underwater archaeology, a lecture series, documentary and an educational program for teachers and students in Florida and The Bahamas. As a result of marketing efforts, the project has garnered national and international media attention. Coordinates the efforts of scholars at five universities.
2004-Present Grant Writer, Fundraiser
Sarasota, FL Raised over $400,000 in grants and in-kind contributions. Wrote several state historic preservation grants for archaeology and the production of a documentary series. Wrote several Florida Humanities Council grants for a lecture series; also a website. Wrote a Comcast Foundation grant to begin “Looking For Angola” school programs in the state. All grants were approved.

Host and producer of a monthly show, Inside Sarasota County Government and special projects. Most recent projects include a documentary entitled, Reflections: A History of Sarasota County; and television programs about decreasing the impact of bio-terrorism and hurricanes for the Florida Department of Law Enforcement and Sarasota County’s Emergency Management Division.

Handled reporting responsibilities for newscasts (live and taped stories); created and developed a weekly show, increased viewership, interviewed local, state and national experts; also celebrities, including 100 of the most recognized African American personalities in the country; and developed cross promotional marketing “tie-ins” to increase viewership.

Sarasota, FL Producer/Co-host of Cover To Cover (a thirty minute book review show). Developed and produced the television pilot. Interviewed best-selling authors, supervised post-production, established distribution contacts at NATPE, pitched the pilot show to NATPE syndicators.
