Patrick Nealis was appointed to the Telecommunication Advisory Council in March of 2008.

Patrick graduated from Florida in 2007 with a Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, specializing in production. His production career began in Jacksonville at WJCT-TV. At UF, he was one of the student broadcast directors at WUFT-TV and highly recommends the experience to any of you production majors! Aside from WUFT, he also worked in production outside Weimer as the Dance Marathon Technology Chair and Gator Growl Video Editing Director. In 2006, he interned in the production department of WJXT-TV.

Patrick moved to St. Augustine, Florida after graduation to work in the Duplication department of PGA TOUR Productions. A year later he began part time video editing the highlights for “This Week On Tour” which airs during the PGA TOUR weekend broadcasts. Aside from his normal responsibilities, he introduced linear and non-linear editing to his department, as well as customized DVD authoring.
