Mike Harding has served on the Telecommunication Advisory Council since the early 1990s and brings television management and chief executive experience to the board.
Harding's television career began in 1974 as a part-time news film editor for a local television station while a community college student in his hometown of Panama City. He has since moved through the ranks in both small and large-market television stations with positions including news reporter and anchor, marketing director, chief assignment manager, operations manager, station manager, program director, general manager, and corporate manager.
In 1996 Harding founded and currently serves as President and Chief Executive Officer of Millennium Media, Inc. (MMI), a media acquisition and management company. MMI specializes in corporate management of troubled television stations requiring "turn-around" expertise.
Harding also created, designed, and founded SPOTBUY.TV, an electronic media marketplace which fulfills the needs of television advertising sales in today’s high-tech environment. SPOTBUY.TV revolutionizes the television selling process from one of an antiquated paper environment to electronic negotiation, order execution, commercial transmission, and on-air processing.
Harding graduated from the University of Florida in 1977 with a bachelor's degree in broadcasting (telecommunications). He received a master's degree from Boston University in broadcast administration. He and his family live in Panama City.
