Christian De La Rosa joined News 13 en Espanol as a Reporter/ Anchor in November 200.
Christian De La Rosa is delighted to be in a place where a Puerto Rican rice and beans dish is as accessible as Mickey Mouse. Born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Christian changed “Gallitos” for “Gators,” after transferring from La Universidad de Puerto Rico, to the University of Florida where he graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Telecommunication News.
Christian's broadcast career began in Gainesville Florida, first as a reporter for Mid-Florida Public Radio and as Host and Producer for AM850-WRUF, where he received an award by the National Broadcasting Society for best student produced radio show. While in college, he also founded "Noticias" on AM850, North Central Florida's first Spanish broadcast news service. Christian also worked as a Reporter, Producer, Weather Forecaster and Anchor for WUFT-TV News. From there it was straight to L.A. (that’s lower Alabama) to work as a general assignment reporter for WJHG-NBC in Panama City Beach.
Christian has a great passion for the work that he does and thrives on the opportunity he has to provide people the information they need, and should know.
Christian loves spending time with his loved ones. He also loves to travel overseas and has a mutt dog named "Puchunga." (There is no translation for this name since Christian made it up!)
