Media Account Manager - Division of Multimedia Properties
The Division of Multimedia Properties in the College of Journalism & Communications is recruiting for a Media Account Manager. This position is responsible for developing and servicing major accounts, and representing the station's advertising and underwriting inventory for all University media properties.
The incumbent will work in an outside sales environment for the University of Florida radio and television stations, both commercial and public. He/she will serve as a marketing representative plus higher level functions including developing and servicing major accounts for the University of Florida stations and other revenue generating projects. The position is responsible for direct and out-of-market agency station(s) representation to major regional and local accounts, and will provide solution selling analysis and marketing concepts to build local and regional business success.
The account manager will interact with divisional sales leadership to provide input on rate and package planning, programming valuation, promotional valuation and marketing materials. The individual will be responsible for arranging promotions, entering broadcast schedules and arranging for remote broadcasts. This position will also be responsible for coaching, directing and supervising a team of student sales reps who will represent the stations and affiliated properties to select advertisers.
