Seventeen years ago, Celino Dimitroff spent most of his time working or caring for his newborn son. But when he wasn’t, the Gainesville resident passed time by picking up random pieces of junk. Then he got a bright idea: He created lamps made of out of scrap metal. “I finally found a use for all the junk I had been collecting over the years,” says Dimitroff. When he first started, he sold his lamps for $20. Now they sell for about $65 (and some have sold for as much as $700). “Other than my brain being responsible for stunting my maturation process, I feel like a 20-year-old all the time,” says Dimitroff. "Life's too fun to take seriously."
