Sex. Hugh Hefner didn’t invent it, but he knows how to capitalize on it. We thought that Orange & Blue should too—you deserve it.

While sorting through potential cover photos, we considered competing with Playboy by alluring you with a more provocative pose. (Barbie* what were you thinking when you were straddling Ken?) Knowing that men and women think about sex every 10 seconds, we figured a less raunchy photo would still turn you on and draw you in. The fact that you got this far proves our theory true.

We must admit we were shocked—as you will be—when we were tipped off to the sex games some students play in Dangerous Liaisons. And thank you for being so candid about the places your “friends” christened. But didn’t we see you on the 50-yard line last night?

If you choose to satisfy your libido at some of the Campus Hot Spots, check out the Freeloader’s Guide to UF to find out where you can get free condoms.

When you take your party out of the bedroom and into the Porpoise, learn about some Harmful Hangover Remedies. We know that you all swear by your tried-and-true cures, but what you don’t know about some of them can hurt you.

We’re not all sex, drugs and rock n’ roll, though. Orange & Blue has a serious side too. Our feature story on emotionally abusive relationships will show you that When Love Hurts it can be unhealthy.

We hope you enjoy this issue of the Orange & Blue. You won’t find it in the Freeloader’s Guide, but it is definitely the best freebie of all.

P.S. The first reader to call 392-4186 and scream, “I WANT MY ORANGE & BLUE” on the answering machine will win the red-lace lingerie featured on our cover. (Don’t forget to leave your name and phone number!)

* our cover models aren’t really named Barbie and Ken
