Jake Fuller, JM 1975, won three state-wide awards in
2001 for his editorial cartoons in The Gainesville Sun. They
were first place awards in the Sunshine State contest and from the Florida
Press Club and third place Green Eyeshade Award.
Leslie
Landry Snavely, PR 1986, has been named Marketing Director of
the Year by the Sales and Marketing Council of the National Association
of Homebuilders. She is director of marketing for ARVIDA, developer of
master-planned communities. She and her husband, Mark, also a Gator, have
four childrentwins Emily and Cameron, both 8; Amanda, 4 and Lexi,
3 months.
Craig
Levinson, TEL 1991, was one of three national award winners at
the 2002 Sperion Marketers of the Year Awards. He earned a law degree
from Boston University in 1994. He is business development manager at
the law firm of Sills Cummis Radin Tischman Epstein & Gross. He received
the Marketing Initiative of the Year award for a promotional
campaign.

Ron OConnor, TEL 1976, won a Biostar Award in August
from the Farm Credit Council for his photograph of Strawberries
at Sunrise. It was his fourth first-place award in the competition
since 1996. The national awards recognize excellence in advertising and
public relations. He is vice president of marketing for Farm Credit of
Central Florida in Lakeland.
James
A. Johnson Jr., TEL 1996, won the 2002 NETA (National Educational
Telecommunications Association) Award for a promotional spot he created
and edited for the series Bargain Hunt. He is the on-air image
producer for WCEU in Daytona Beach.
William
Mark Hartnett, JM 2000, and Kathleen Chapman, reporters for The
Palm Beach Post, won a first place national award for education reporting
from the Education Writers Association. Their story was "FCAT: More
a Measure of Wealth than Performance."
