Michelle Buczynski Engel and David Engel

David, ADV 1996, and Michelle Buczynski Engel, JM 1995, both work for KVMX-FM (Mix 107.5, the best songs of the 80s and more) in Portland. The station was launched in June 2000 and immediately became #1 in the market. The success spawned an article in The Wall Street Journal and stories on VH1. She is now format captain and he is creative production director. They are both alumni of WRUF-ROCK 104 and worked professionally in Fort Myers and in Boston, before moving to Portland in 1998. “We love it here, and there are a TON of Gators in the area.”

Sue Anne DePasquale Bravo, JM 1996, is content operations program manager at Intel in Hillsboro. Her duties include program management, content production and newsletter editor.

Diana Jordan Sorrantino Burks, JM 1975, produces and hosts a syndicated book show for the Associated Press Radio Network. She interviews hundreds of authors for “Between the Lines,” which airs regularly on more than 800 radio stations daily.

Pam (Fey) Field, PR 1972, is marketing director for the Bonneville Environmental Foundation and a recent graduate of the University of Oregon Executive MBA program. The Foundation is a broker of renewable energy (mostly wind and solar) between suppliers and public utilities, businesses and government agencies. She organized and was two-term president of the Portland Gator Club. She has two daughters, Erika, a sophomore at UF, and Andrea, a junior in high school.

Seniye Groff, PR 1988, is director of recruiting and training at Standard Employment Benefits in Portland. She is also chairperson of “Dress for Success,” an organization that provides interviewing clothing and mentoring for disadvantaged women entering the workforce for the first time. She earned a human resources management certificate last year and is working on a master’s in education at Portland State. She and her husband, Eric, like to snowboard and mountain climb for fun.

Heidi Siples Hoff, PR 1988, is a property administrator for Equity Office Properties, a national real estate c company in Portland. She manages two office buildings. She wrote, “I was in an operations meeting when the earthquake hit. No damage to the property, but it was exciting.”

Watercolor by Glenna Parker

Glenna G. Parker TEL 1962, is a published writer and a former public affairs administrator, but her true love is art. She has been exhibiting her unusual, abstract style of watercolor painting since 1999. And her numerous awards include the Bellevue Art and Frame Merchandise Award in the Waterworks 2000 Northwest Watercolor Society Competition. Her paintings are featured in a number of galleries in the area—and on her website, www.glennaparker.com.

Parker earned an MBA degree from National University in San Diego and an art education degree from Central Oregon Community College in Bend, Ore., where she now resides.

Mark Landrum, PR 1972, is a zone manager with Schwan’s Food Service in Aloha.

Patricia L. “Patty” Shannon, PR 1974, is a mother who owns and shows Hunter Division horses in shows throughout the Northwest. She wrote, “I hope to eventually begin writing again!” She lives in Lake Oswego.

Michelle Haluschka Maynard, PR 1995, is manager of publications for Willamette University in Salem. She edits the alumni magazine and annual report for the top-tier liberal arts university. Her husband, also a Gator, works for the Oregon Department of Agriculture. The former Miami native wrote, “We spend quite a bit of time hiking and camping in the mountains, but when we need our ocean ‘fix,’ we are just an hour from the coast.”

Kirsten Cook Meneghello, TEL 1992, always wanted to use her legal and financial knowledge to help others. Now she does. She is a specialist in planned giving for Oregon Health & Science Foundation and Doernbecher Children’s Hospital Foundation in Portland.

After UF, Meneghello earned a law degree at Georgia State University and was a trust administrator for U.S. Trust Co.

Jeff Ranieri, TEL 2000, is the morning weather anchor/reporter on KDRV-TV in Medford. He said, “The College prepared me well! It was a seamless transition into my new position.” He is enrolled in a program that will lead to a second degree in meteorology.

Mark Metzger, ADV 1978, is general manager/sales director of KLSR-TV 34, California Oregon Broadcasting (FOX-TV) in Eugene.
